JKA Specialties
of Vincentown NJ, produced officially
licensed, red & blue, 'Baseball Star Buttons'
in 1992, that were distributed
nationally. The buttons were sold in
packs of two, out of a 36 pack vending
box. The set of 120 buttons, feature
the licensing information along the rim
that reads, "MLBPA Baseball Buttons,
Vincentown NJ, ©1991 MLB."
The 1-1/2 inch Baseball Star
buttons feature a color player portrait
photo in the center. 60 pins that feature
national League players have a blue
border at the top with a red
border at the bottom. The other sixty featuring
American League players is reversed,
red
at the top, and blue on the bottom. All
the pins have the players name at the
bottom, and are numbered 1-120 of 120.
The year of issue is centered below a
white border, with 19 0n the left of
the player photo, 92 on the right.
