"Babe Ruth! Babe Ruth! (We Know What
He Can Do)” Sheet Music was published
in 1928 by the author, J.W. Spencer, Olneyville,
RI. Words by J. W. Spencer, and arranged
by Harry Alford for
the ukulele. The cover of the
sheet music published during his
career; features a blue-tone
illustration of the Bambino,
reminiscent of
a picture taken after Ruth hit
his 60th home run in 1927. A revised
copy was issued in 1935, when Babe Ruth
signed on with the Boston Braves. The
inside back cover features revised
Lyrics to the 4th Chorus.
These pins were issued to record
shops for sales people to promote the
Sheet Music. The pin was manufactured
by the Green Duck Company, 1725 W.
North Ave., Chicago, IL. Along the rim
reads, "Green Duck Chicago." The front
reads; "Babe Ruth ! Babe Ruth" arched
over the top. The center reads from top
to bottom; "1928, 100. record, We Know,
What, He Can, Do." arched at the bottom
reads, "Song 25 Cents"
