NOTES:

Designated as a PM 15 pin by the American Card Catalog, the Yellow Basepaths pins measure 7/8 inches. The buttons were made to be inserted into plastic capsules, to be dispensed in gumball vending machines for a penny in 1956. Back in the 1950's, vending machine suppliers did not secure licenses for the use of images. Each pin features a black-and-white head shot of a star baseball player of the day, which is centered within the "yellow basepath" infield. Each of the 32 players depicted in the set has his name in script just above home plate.

The lithographic images were printed directly onto the metal surface. They were not protected by a celluloid casing, and some pins show scratches and wear. The checklist for the unnumbered Yellow basepaths player pins are listed in alphabetical order.
