NOTES:

The AAGPBL - All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, was a professional women's baseball league which existed from 1943 to 1954. Having been started in 1943 with four teams, the league eventually expanded to 10 teams located in the American Midwest in 1948. From 1949 to 1951 the league was reduced to eight teams; Six teams in 1952 and 1953, before closing the league with for teams in 1954. The 1992 motion picture "A League of Their Own" is a mostly fictionalized account of the early days of the league and its stars.

The 1952 Grand Rapids Chicks played their home games at Bigelow Field, Grand Rapids Michigan, and finished the season in 4th place with a record of 50-60. Inside, the scorecard features the Chicks home and away schedules. Luck Number "A," is at the top of the home team portion, and reads; "If Your number corresponds with the number announced, present the score card after the game at the concession office and you will receive two tickets to a future chick game and two free CHICKEN DINNERS courtesy CHICKEE DRIVE INN" Their ad to the right states; "Eat Chicken with the Chicks"

Lucky Number "B" is at the top of the visitors card. Lucky Number "C" on another page, pays tribute to Mr. Baseball, George Herman Ruth. A page featuring the 1952 Grand Rapids Chicks roster also has a short career sports bio on Mgr. John E. Gottselig, and two pages with mini bio's "Meet the AAGPBL Grand Rapids Chicks..." and "Here's More "Chicks"..." page with "How To Keep Score."
