NOTES:

   J. deBeer and Son, Inc. was founded in 1889 by Jacob deBeer, a German Dutch immigrant tanner that began making his own baseballs in a converted barn in Johnstown, N.Y., soon after baseball's origin. In 1916 the business was moved to Albany where Jacob was joined by his son Fredrick who developed and patented the Clincher softball with its unique protected seam in 1934.

"Presented with the complements of your distributor of Double Header Baseballs and Softballs;" this individual playing record was made available to customers at sporting good dealers that carried J. deBeer & Son products. The top of the bi-fold playing record has the first J. deBeer & Son, Double Header logo. The bottom has a space for the individuals name. The back illustrates a variety of baseball and softballs, dating to about 1965.

Inside, flanked by the 1956-1965 J. deBeer & Son Albany NY logo, and an ad for the No. 91 Official Little League baseball, is space to fill out about the individual player; Name____ Position____ Team____ Season____ and League____. A printed graph below is provided to keep a game-by-game log of batting and pitching records.
