 In 1934, the Joint Rules Committee on Softball collaborated to create the first set of standardized rules. This 1935 issue of the "Joint Rules Committee Official Softball Rules," Group I Baseball," No. 12R was part of Spalding's Athletic Library. Contents in the book includes; rules of the game, instructions for lighting for night games, team photos, and reports of local clubs, Softball in Wisconsin, St. Paul, Rock Island, Reading PA., Allentown, Kansas City, Memphis, etc.
