1955 to 1993 Kessler Whiskey issued the
"Smooth as Silk Kessler Baseball Fans
Guide." The 32 page, 5 by 7 inch
booklets feature the Kessler guide
pennant predictions; a space for your
selections,
Pennant and World Series winners from
the past. A baseball calendar
with opening
day, all-star game, playoffs, and, World
Series dates. American and National
League averages from the year before,
"Pace Setters" since 1923 (year-by-year
leaders) and season records since 1901.
The bulk of the guide features Major
League team data; complete schedules,
team-by-team home and away, basic
rosters, ballpark diagrams, Major
League Game, ticket, TV, and radio
information. The last page(32) of this
1974 issue, features a Baseball Hall of
Fame roster, all-time, and active top
ten players.
There is a "Special Offer" for a Kessler Sports Watch, behind a flap fold,
that extends from the inside cover of
the 1974 Baseball Fans Guide. The
Kessler Sports Watch features a unique
sport-action "floating" second hand and
was available for $11.95, by sending in
a check or money order.
