Pete Rose SGA Replica Statue

On June 17, 2017 the Pete Rose bronze statue was dedicated at Great American Ball Park, which honors Rose's head-first sliding. The pregame ceremony featured several of the Hit King's legendary Big Red Machine teammates. The first 30,000 fans in attendance received a replica of the statue at the gate. The Stadium giveaway was presented by Dinsmore, and sponsored by PNC Bank. The box pictures the replica statue, shows Charlie Hustle in mid flight and read:

"A Cincinnati native, Pete Rose's combination of grit and hustle made him one of the games greatest players. The captain of the big Red Machine, Rose's no holds-barred style of play symbolized the dominance of those great teams and propelled Rose to baseballs all-time career hits record. Perhaps nothing better represented Rose's approach to the game than his trademark headfirst slide. And it is this ultimate expression of rose's hustle that is forever immortalized in bronze as Pete's statue joins those of Big Red Machine teammates Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Perez at the entrance to Great American Ball Park. This Pete Rose replica statue is made from molds produced from statue's prototype design to ensure the accuracy of this collectible item."
