series. 1934 was the last World Series
in which both teams were led by
player-managers. St Louis Cardinals
Manager Frankie Frisch played in all
seven games hitting .194, 6 hits in 31
at bats. Detroit Tigers Manager Mickey
Cochrane (1934 AL MVP) also played in
all seven games, hitting .214, 6 hits
in 28 at bats.
