1950 Philadelphia Phillies vs New
York Yankees World Series Game 1,
ticket stub, played at Shibe Park on
October 4. The Yankees beat the
Phillies 4 games to none but
Philadelphia still loves their Phillies
none the less, as indicated by the
great “Fighting’ Phils,” and “Whiz Kids”
background watermark.
Games 1 and 2 were the only two played
in Philadelphia, and basically have the
same value. although game 2 might have
a slight edge because Joe DiMaggio hit
a Home Run in that game. Yankees Vic
Raschi pitched a 2 hit shutout in game
1 but these two milestones would only
appeal to Yankee fans. The 1950 Shibe
Park World Series ticket Stubs are
worth about $80. -$160. in
Excellent-Near Mint condition.
Condition is important, and even slight
flaws could bring the price down
significantly. Common flaws include
creases, rips, and badly torn stubs.
Ticket stubs that have not been torn
cleanly will sell for less.
