The price of a Bleacher Admission
ticket remains at .50 cents in
1930. Because of the tax revenue act
of 1926, no taxes were charged from
1927-1932. In 1930 the words Base Ball,
as it appeared on tickets in 1929 and
before is condensed into one word
"Baseball" The .05 cents "Paid Tax" line returns
in 1933 and is added to the estimated
price of .50 cents, for a total price of
.55 cents.
Tickets printed from 1930 through1939
can be attributed to a specific year by
the Series Letter that appears above
the serial number, with the exception
of 1933 that had tickets printed with &
without the Series letter "A."
In 1935 a tier of legal information is added to the front that reads:
"Subject to terms and conditions on
this and reverse side hereof."
and added to the disclaimer on the back
"THIS TICKET IS SOLD SUBJECT TO ABOVE
PRINTED TERMS AND CONDITION AND THOSE
PRINTED ON THE REVERSE SIDE HEREOF."
In 1936 the tier of legal information
on the front is changed to: "This
ticket is void subject to terms and
condition printed on both sides of the
ticket."
In 1935, the printing company credit
line (M.B. Brown) is removed from the
front, and placed on the back ("M.B.
Brown P & B C0., N.Y.") and "The
Devinne-Brown Corp." in 1936. In
January of 1939, Yankees team president
Jacob Ruppert passes away and the new
team president Edward G. Barrow,
signature appears at the bottom of the
ticket stub.
