NOTES:

In 1977 Royal Crown Cola issued a set of 70, Major League Baseball Players Association All Star cans. When you collected all seventy, 1977 RC Cola Cans you could take them to the RC bottling pant, and claim an "autographed" baseball signed by the 1976 winning All-Star Team. The National League won, so the prize you received was a baseball featuring the stamped signatures of the 1976 National League All-Star team, and a plastic " Me and My RC" baseball holder. The base is a green infield with all four bases. All you had to do is show them the cans. You didn't have to surrender the cans.

The ball had 28 signatures of the 1976 NL All-Star team which included: Dave Cash, Dave Kingman, Bob Boone, Tom Seaver, Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, César Cedeño, John Montefusco, George Foster, Al Oliver, Steve Garvey, Rick Rhoden, Ken Griffey, Randy Jones, "Bake" McBride, Bill Russell, Dave Concepción, Ken Forsch, Tony Pérez, George "Sparky" Anderson, Joe Morgan, Larry Bowa, Woodie Fryman, and Dick Ruthven. Jon Matlack, & Greg Luzinski on sweet spot 1, Steve Swisher, Mike Schmidt, on sweet spot 2. The offer expired on September 1, 1977.

Due to rarity and the lack of a sales history, the estimated value above, for the 1976 All Star team autographed baseball is based on similar premium baseballs. The All star Baseball without the green plastic ball holder will have an estimated value of about $35.-$50. in EX-NM condition. The "Bleeding" or "shadow" of the ink on the ball pictured is caused by a low grade porous cover on the baseball, causing the ink to seep into the cover, before the ink properly dries.

Apparently the problem with the stamped autographs bleeding, was common with souvenir baseballs from this era, but it could lower the value accordingly. There are 1976 RC Cola All Star baseballs that did not bleed. The baseballs were manufacture by "The Autographed Ball Company" who made souvenir autographed baseballs for all the teams. Founded in 1947 by ex-Major League baseball player Dick Culler the company Produced replica team autographed baseballs for almost 70 years, before going out of business in 2014.
