The No. 11B Semi-Pro
"Regulation" model was part of the J.F. Hillerich & Son Co. standard line of
baseball bats from about 1911-1915. In
1916 Frank Bradsby joined the company
and Bradsby is added to the company
name. The top of the Semi-Pro center
brand was changed from "J.F. HILLERICH
& SON Co." to "HILLERICH & BRADSBY Co."
thereafter. Made of second growth ash,
the No. 11B Semi-Pro branded baseball
bat was offered in sizes 32 to 36
inches, with an assorted brown finish
barrel, natural finished handle, center
taped, highly polished, with a
"Regulation" transfer (decal) on the
barrel.
By 1932, the No. 11B Semi-Pro baseball bat was offered with "Big Leaguer"
burnt in yellow on the barrel,
replacing the "Regulation" transfer
decal. In 1932 The center brand for the
No. 11B Semi-Pro "Big Leaguer" baseball
bat was changed to the new
standard "H&B" center brand, with "MADE
IN U.S.A." above, and the "No. 11B"
below. The bat was offered with a black
finish and block letter player
endorsements. From 1952 through 1959
the standard "H&B" center brand was
redesigned, by adding the model number
to the top, and "MADE IN U.S.A." below.
The H&B" standard logo was then again
redesigned from a simple line to a
block type font, in 1964.
