officially opened on October 23, 1957,
in Joplin, Missouri by Mickey Mantle
and business partner Harold Youngman.

postcards. This postcard pictures
Mantle in the Holiday Inn Of Joplin,
Missouri, Dugout Lounge. Mickey is
taking a batting stance over one of a
handful of
Mickey Mantle signature lounge tables. The
Dugout Lounge carpet features
graphic designs of Mickey Mantle's
Number 7 uniform jersey below his birth
year, 1931, Yankee caps, gloves, bats
and shoes.
The credit-dividing line on this postcard, produced by Curt Teich & Co.
reads; "Curteichcolor® 3-D Natural
Color Reproduction (REG. U.S.A PAT.
OFF.)" Inside the stamp box is a date
code "2DK-33" dating it to 1962; the
number "2" indicates the second year,
the letter "D" indicates 1960s and the
letter "K" used to indicate ‘Curteichcolor’
which is a chrome postcard printing
process.
