Jeff Monahan was a regular cartoonist
for the Saturday Evening Post as well
as numerous other magazines such as
Pageant, Breezy, Romp, Gaze, Popular
Jokes, Cartoon Parade and the American
Legion magazine. He also contributed
gag panels for the syndicated “This and
That”, “This Funny World” and “Laff-A-Day”
features. His work can also be found in
cartoon paperback collections like
“More all about girls” (1954).
The ink and pencil, 6 x 9" artwork on cardstock, depicts the manager
of a girls baseball team sending a
player to a "Bubble Bath," and is
signed by Jeff Monahan. The caption at the bottom reads: "In this Game You Don't Send A Pitcher To
The Shower - You Send Her To A Bubble
Bath! The caption was edited, replacing
the word "IN" with "According To This
Updated Rules Of"
