During an 11-year period beginning in
1984, Ron Lewis produced some of the
most enduring sports-art collectibles
in the hobby. His oil paintings of
baseball, basketball, football and
hockey heroes were reproduced on
lithographs, postcards, trading cards,
collector plates, baseballs, posters
and other items that are still widely
sought by collectors.
Between 1989 and 1990 a complete set of 20 "Living Legends" art
cards, limited to just 5,000 individual
sets were produced by sports artist Ron
Lewis. Each card numbered on the back, measures 8"x10" and is printed on heavy stock paper displaying
illustrious colors. The player
portraits were specifically created
with a perfect aesthetic place for an
autograph to be affixed, so fans and
collectors can pursue their hobby of
obtaining autographs.
