Formed in Brooklyn NY by Gary Mellis in 1971, Rotten
Rat Records, was located at 306 3rd avenue,
New York, NY when this record was
released. The studio recorded, Garage rock,
proto-punk, Novelty songs. Their first
release "Doin' My Thing" (The Klacker-King
Song) and "Hi Kids"
(Instructions For the Klacker Toy)
by Klacker-King, was a record
that came in a package with a set of
shatter proof, non toxic klackers for
$1,69.
The fowls also recorded the songs, "The
Yanks Are The Champs" with words
sung to the music of "The Bird is the
Word" by The Fowls, and "The Yanks Are
Back" featuring spoken word by
"Joe Smith" talking about the Yankees
coming back to Yankee Stadium in 1976,
to the music "Chirp Me Out To The
Ballgame."
