by GV, Inc., included an audio cassette
with a two-minute birthday greeting
from one of eighteen Major League stars
in 1991. The eighteen player Recordings were made by Wade Boggs,
Lenny Dykstra, Dennis
Eckersley, John Franco, Ken Griffey Jr.
& Sr. (on one tape), Tony Gwynn, Howard Johnson, Don
Mattingly, Kevin McReynolds, Kevin Maas, Kevin Mitchell,
Mark Grace, John Smoltz, Nolan
Ryan, Ruben Sierra (In Spanish), Dave
Stewart, Bobby Thigpen, and Dave Winfield.
One cassette tape came inside
a blister package for $9.95. The
recordings featured a personal birthday message
from a specific baseball player, with
each player reminisces about their most
memorable birthday's as children, and
relays their personal experiences to
their young fans. A special collectible
photo-birthday card with a facsimile
autograph of the player is also
included. Specially marked 1992
baseball birthday wishes came with a
free
1992 Topps Baseball card of the player.
Each star tape includes an offer to
join the "Happy Baseball Birthday
Club."
