On April 7,
1981 Wanna Records Inc. released the
Song "Teamwork" by Ernie Banks, on a 45
RPM, 7"record. The flipside; "Ernie's
Tune" an instrumental version of the
song, featured on the record sleeve as
"Ernie's Song" (The Uncut Dance
version). "Mr. Cub's" signing is backed
by the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls
cheerleaders, a horn section, guitar,
keyboards and drums. Special guest appearance by Chicago
Cubs announcer Jack Brickhouse, calling
an Ernie Banks home run. "There She
Goes, back, back, back, Hey! Hey! a
home run!"
The front of the black & white record jacket pictures Ernie Banks about to
tip his Chicago Cubs baseball cap in
cubs uniform. Originally slated for the
front cover art by Steve Leavitt, the
back cover features a line-drawing of
Banks hitting the ball for a home run
at Wrigley Field, with an Ernie Bank
Facsimile autograph at the end of the
bat. Credits listed include: Song
writer Stanley Hollenbeck, a Chicago
folksinger, and music arranger Jerry
Soto. A "Special Thanks to: President
Ronald Regan, Governor Jim Thompson,
Mayor Jayne Byrne, and others are
listed at the bottom. The address for
