On October 18, 1977 the New York
Yankees ended a period of fifteen years
of famine with their 21st World Series
championship. Narrated by Phil Rizzuto
"Return To Glory"
chronicles the play-by-play action of the
N.Y. Yankees 1977 World Championship
season. "Magnavox Presents" this 12" LP
record, issued in 1978 by the Fleetwood
recording co. The cover Pictures Babe
Ruth back in the Yankee glory days, and
below, Reggie Jackson returning the
Yankees back with three home runs in
game 6 of the 1977 World Series.
At the top of the cover's back is a New York Yankees team picture. The
Narrator and Yankee broadcaster Phil
Rizzuto is picture at the bottom with
Yankee owner George Steinbrenner, team
President Gabe Paul, and manager Billy
Martin to the right. The recording was
also available in a 8 Track tape
format.
