NOTES:

This is the Mothers Day Pendant given away by the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on "Charm Day" May 14, 1967, the day Mickey Mantle hit his 500 Home Run. The Box, and case for the pendant is rare, and together with the Pendant could sell as high as $400. The Mothers Day pendant was made by Balfour maker of many of the World Series Rings, and Press pins. Mickey Mantle hit his 500 home run during the seventh inning against the Baltimore Orioles pitcher Stu Miller.

As promoted in the 1967 Yankees official program & scorecard, "Charm Day" was set for Mothers Day May 14. "Children can see to it that Mom is the recipient of a Yankee Stadium gift." The Charm day pendants were "Packed in gift boxes and are sure to prove popular for charm bracelets and jewelry use." Made by the L.G. Balfour Co., Attleboro, Mass. Jewelers., every Mother attending received "this attractive little gift."

Stadium giveaways are hit or miss on value. Bat day, and Bobble Heads seem to be the most popular giveaway. With a large collectors base these items seem to bring a higher collectors value. Historic games that have a SGA like this one could add value in time. Ty Valentino a Yankees Stadium Beanie Babies Day was given away at the game David wells pitched his Perfect game. Historic games include Player milestones, inaugural games, or a ceremonial day.
