NOTES:

Up until 1979 the date was not included on New York Yankees Grandstand & Bleacher tickets. Once you have figured out the year of your ticket using the Grandstand Ticket Stub Dating Guide, you will need to figure out the game that the ticket is attributed to. Correctly attributing the game number on a ticket to the game played will effect the value. A ticket stub will increase in value due to a significant event, or player milestone. A hitting or pitching milestone by a noted player such as a Home Run by Joe DiMaggio or a shutout thrown by Red Ruffing will have added value.

This New York Yankees Home Schedule is a list of home games to help attribute the number on a ticket to the game(s) played. In 1938 the Yankees were scheduled to play 154 games. 77 Road games, and 77 Home games. NOTE: The Yankees finished with a record of 99-53 (152 games) They played two home games to a tie on May 14 and on Sept. 25. The May 14 game was played as a make up game on June 29, added to Game No. 35. and played as a double Header. The Sept. 25, game was not made up. The Yankees played 3 games to a tie on the road and only two were made up.

NOTE: One of the two tickets, Game No. "C" and Game No. "D" is attributed to the scheduled game No. 19 holiday Double Header played on May 30, 1938 vs Boston. The paid attendance was a Record 81,841, exceeding the Yankee Stadium seating capacity of 71,699. A lettered ticket was used for the overflow. More research needs to be done to attribute one of these tickets to that game.

Tickets for games that were rained out were voided. If the "Make Up Game" for the rain out was added to another scheduled game to create a double header, the ticket number of that scheduled game was used for admission to both games. If the rain out game was made up on an off day, the ticket issued for admission to that game featured a Letter for the Game No. For a scheduled double header, the first game number of the two was used on the ticket for admission to both games.
