NOTES:

In 1956, Harold D. Youngman approached Mickey Mantle about leasing and operating a Holiday Inn hotel in Joplin, Missouri. It was agreed that Mickey would be named the president of the Mickey Mantle Motel Corp., the Holiday Inn, and Youngman would be the vice president. The hotel opened for business on January 10, 1957. This Black & White Glossy Photo was sold in the gift shop at the Mickey Mantle's Holiday Inn, located at Highway 71, 2600 Range Line Road, Joplin Missouri. The blank backed "photocard" features a facsimile autograph that reads "Best Wishes Mickey Mantle"

The photo was originally used by the New York Yankees in 1957 as a mailer to satisfy Mickey Mantle autograph requests. Later that year, it was given out to 1,367 youngsters accompanied by 133 adults from Newark who were treated to a Yankee game and an "autograph Photo" of Mickey Mantle. But, "Newark Youth Day Yankee Stadium September 14, 1957" was added to the top left corner.
