Days Of Baseball Told By The Men Who
Played It." This album contains
highlights selected from the famous
tapes - now in the Library of the
Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown -
from which the
book by Lawrence S.
Ritter, "The Glory Of Their Times' was
written. "The way it was in the days
that Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth,
and Houus Wagner made the fans root,
root, root, for the home team."
The album cover by Izzy Sanabria, pictures Ty Cobb sliding into third
base. The back cover feature a short
bio on Interviewer, Producer, and
Editor – Lawrence S. Ritter, credits,
and the
contents of the record, which include
players; Edd Roush, Fred Snodgrass, Sam
Crawford, Goose Goslin, Rube Marquard,
Lefty O'doul Chief Meyers, and Davy
Jones. An
alternative version of this recording
also exists with the cover featuring
"Rube Marquard" joining the Giants in
1908. This might be the first release.
