novelty song "The Yanks Are
Camps," was recorded by the Fowls on
the Rotten Rat Records label. The words
are sung to the music of "The Bird is
the Word" a song The Fowls previously
recorded.
Side B "The Yanks Are Back," features spoken word by "Joe Smith
from New York City" backed by
the Fowls recording of "Chirp Me Out To
The Ballgame." The song is about the
Yankees coming back to Yankee Stadium
in 1976, after playing two years at
Shea Stadium. Mentioned in the song
are; Yankee greats, Babe Ruth, Lou
Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, and Whitey Ford.
Current (1976) Yankees lead by owner George Steinbrenner, Manager Billy Martin,
and Coach Yogi Berra include; Catfish
Hunter, Thurman Munson, Sparky Lyle, Graig Nettles, Chris Chambliss, Willie
