This
is my 4th Memorabilia room, in 3
residences. Most of the memorabilia
has followed me through the years,
and some were sold off to make room
for new additions. This time
around, because I expanded into the
halls, the collectibles I
previously had packed away, now see
the light of day. Out on display
where they belong. I even have a
display in the foyer, by the front
door of the house. I'm still
working on it after 2 years of
unpacking.
The one constant I had in all 4
rooms, is the bobble head, baseball
cube display shelf. I also added
shelving for baseball gloves &
mitts, something I was planning to
do for a long time. I moved from
displaying my baseball bats
horizontally in tubes, to a
vertical display, hanging from a
bat rack with no tubes. I
originally started with tubes to
display and protect my autographed
bats. But I sold them off.
My first favorite piece of memorabilia was the Yankee Stadium Popcorn
megaphone. It was one of the most
inexpensive items I had but it
connected me to my childhood years
at the stadium. It then became a
distant number two when I purchased
a pair of Yankee Stadium seats
(pre-1973 old Yankee Stadium) The
seats will always be with me but, I
have a new favorite now. The
Vintage Baseball stitching clamp
saddle. I love items that tell a
story, and the stitching clamp has
a long historic story. Oh, and I
have added a Yankee Stadium Popcorn
Peanuts & Cracker Jacks vendors hat
to display with the megaphone.
