Ralph S. Bell a survivor of Nazi
concentration camps, including
Auschwitz, immigrated to the U.S.,
after WWII. In 1947 he met up with 2
other survivors, and they established
the Trio Sporting Goods MFG Co., in
Chicago. The company also had a
business relationship with Hillcrest
Sporting Goods that operated from 1962
to 1981. Trio Imported their baseball
gloves which were sold at discount,
hardware and department stores such as;
Ace Hardware, Sea-Way, Arro Discount,
Walgreens, Superx Drug Stores, and
Payless.

In 1972 The Atlanta based firm, A-L
Sports acquired Trio Sporting Goods MFG
Co., and removed "Hollander" from the
Logo. The new logo featured 3
Interlocking rings at the top.
In 1972, Trio Sporting Goods, introduced a line of multi-colored baseball
gloves Signature model baseball glove,
player endorsements includes; Joe
DiMaggio, Milt Papas, Frank Howard, Ed
Kranpool, Vada Pinson, Joe Pepitone, Dean Chance, Ted
Abernathy, Bobby Murcer, Bud Harrelson,
Donn Clendenon, and Jerry Grote. Trio
Hollander also produced the "Yankee
Clipper Line" of baseball gloves in the
late 1960s, which included; Joe
DiMaggio, Sandy Koufax, Bobby Murcer,
Joe Pepitone, Dean Chance, Sam
McDowell, Jerry Grote, and Elston
Howard, signature models.
This Korean made, Trio Bobby Murcer Signature model, No. 32-27 features;
Top Grain Leather, "Snap Flex" V-Shaped
Palm Lacing, 100% Nylon stitched, and
Rawhide Lacing. This is brought to the
attention to the consumer because in
the past imported baseball gloves were
typically made with vinyl lacing. Trio
also imported baseball gloves from
Japan.
