NOTES:

Founded in 1883 by G.A. Krause, the Rockford, Michigan shoe manufacturer became the Wolverine Shoe & Tanning Corporation in 1921. When the Great Depression hit, sales were down, and the company started to manufacture baseball gloves, to to get through the tough times. During the war years the "Bacon Rind Glove" was born. Because of WWII shortages, the Wolverine Shoe & Tanning Corp. turned to pork rinds to produce work gloves. Wolverine worked for the U.S. Navy, developing pigskin gloves. In 1959, Wolverine launched the Hush Puppies brand of casual shoes. In 1964, the company name was changed to Wolverine Worldwide, Inc., and is still doing business today.

The Michigan based company issued the "Wolverine Tiger Line," of baseball gloves featuring tiger players from 1934. The models include: No. Y22 Mickey Cochrane catchers mitt, No. K348 Jerry Walker K348, Chas Gehringer K342 Fielders glove, Elden Auker K340, Luke D Hamlin K34(?), School Boy Rowe K341, JoJo White K352, Bill Rogell K353 and Pete Fox. Other baseball glove models include; Al Van Camp endorsed base mitt, and the No. 327 Softball base mitt.
