Boys and Girls, fill out the coupon, mail in a box top from Quaker Puffed Wheat and Babe Ruth will send you a Signed photo! Eight box tops will get you a Professional League baseball! It didn't get any better than pulling out a toy and enjoying a bowl of cereal while reading the back of the box before school.

A previous unknown Rolled Gold Pretzels premium pin back button has just been Identified, proving that "Old Gold" is still out there to be found. The 7/8 inch baseball buttons were made by ADV Premium Sales St. Louis MO, for a Frito-Lay, Rold Gold Pretzels promotion. The free premium pin back buttons were inserted into bags of Rold Gold Twist or sticks Pretzels. The back of1968 Rold Gold ADV Premium Sales Free baseball Button Offer the bags also featured an offer for a MacGeregor Regulation League baseball.

Because the buttons do not have any indication that they were made for, and part of the Frito-Lay, Rold Gold Pretzels promotion, the pins are difficult to locate. I have yet to see the pins listed as being associated with "Rold Gold." The best way to locate the pins online is by doing a search for "ADV Premium Sales St. Louis MO pin" The 1968 pins can then be matched up with the buttons pictured on the promotion.

The Rawlings "Official League" baseball was from a 1964 Kellogg's Cereal 1964 Rawlings "Official League" Baseball Offerbox offer that features the facsimile signatures of 8 Major League Stars: Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial, Warren Spahn, Brooks Robinson, Dick Groat, Tommy Davis, Cletis Boyer and Ray Herbert. Just mail in two cereal box tops along with $1 dollar and Kellogg's would send you the ball.

In 1962 Mars Candy offered 3 promotional phonographic records entitled "Baseball Tips From the Stars." The 33 1/3 rpm 7" vinyl records were made available for only 50 cents each, and four wrappers from any Mars Candy Bars. Baseball Tips From The Stars was Narrated By Lou Boudreau, and the audio features Interviews with the ballplayers, recorded live at Major League parks during batting and fielding practice. Baseball Tips From The Stars Mars Candy Premium

The set of 3 records with "Helpful Hints in the Stars Own Voices" included: No 1- "How To Bat" with Stan Musial, Ernie Banks, Duke Snider, Ken Boyer, No 2- "How To Pitch" with Warren Spahn, Joey Jay, Johnny Podres, and Don Drysdale and No 3- "How To Field" with Willie Mays, John Roseboro, Gil Hodges, and Don Hoak.

1964 Official Gillette League World Series Special Premium BaseballAdvertising premiums were not exclusive to kids, that is unless they started shaving at the age of 12. The Gillette Official League World Series Special Autographed Baseball was a promotion by the Gillette Safety Razor Co. manufactured by the Wilson Sporting Goods Co.

The special offer Was made available from 1964 through to the last expiration date of March 1, 1966. "To get your autographed Baseball send only $1.00," cash or money order, payable to "World Series Special" then fill out a coupon from Gillette Slim Adjustable safety razors, and mail it to Spring Park, Minnesota.

Everyone remembers or knows about the 1961-1963 baseball cards that were hand cut from the back of boxes of Post Cereal, but not too many people remember that in 1963 you also found a prize when you went digging1963 Post Cereal Major League Team Pennants through the box. A cloth Major League Team Mini Pennant!

Collecting baseball advertising premiums can be fun. If you also find the promotional material that connects it to the premium, it makes a Great Display and it will also add value.
